A couple who just listed their Cherry Hills mansion think their recent renovations nearly doubled its value.
Derrell James and Trudy Fountain-James are asking $4.5 million for their eight-bed, 11-bath home at 4903 S. Elizabeth Circle. They bought the property a year ago for $2.5 million, according to public records.
“The home was originally built back in 1993 … and these guys bought it and had it gutted and started over,” said listing agent Pamela Helm, with Kentwood Real Estate DTC.
In addition to renovating all the bedrooms and bathrooms, the couple updated the kitchen and added new flooring, a wine cellar, basement kitchen and home gym.
Helm said a change of plans means the couple is moving out of state, forcing them to re-list the home. At $4.5 million, the property is the 12th-most-expensive current listing in exclusive Cherry Hills Village.
Address: 4903 South Elizabeth Circle
List price: $4.5 million
Stats: The eight-bed, 11-bath mansion is more than 12,000 square feet.
The finer things: Cornerstone Custom Homes renovated the home in the last six months, per the listing. Its upstairs master suite features a sitting room, an updated master bath and a balcony overlooking the property. Five additional upstairs bedrooms also include ensuite, newly renovated bathrooms.
The main level holds a full English-style pub and a billiards room, while the basement includes a smaller pub-style bar, a wine cellar, media room, home gym and two additional bedrooms.
The 0.9-acre lot is adjacent to a park and features a swimming pool, hot tub, two grills and a large outdoor fireplace. A large four-car garage also sits on the property, topped by an in-law apartment.
Sellers: Derrell James and Trudy Fountain-James, who purchased the property in September 2018 for $2.5 million, according to Arapahoe County public records.
Derrell James is senior vice president of customer services at Juniper Networks, which provides networking and cybersecurity solutions, according to its website. Trudy Fountain-James is a software executive at Atos, a digital transformation company that is the worldwide IT partner of the International Olympic Committee.
