A Denver company that sells organic hemp oil extracts is the Colorado company ranked highest on Inc. magazine’s 2019 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
NuLeaf Naturals, founded in 2014 and based at 1550 Larimer St., makes CBD oil for animals as well as humans. It reported 2018 revenue of $13.9 million, up 11,949 percent from three years ago — enough to nab the No. 11 spot on the Inc. 5000 list.
In total, 156 Colorado-based companies made the list, which was released Wednesday. That’s 20 more than appeared on the list last year.
Ranking on the Inc. 5000 is determined by percent of revenue growth over a three-year period. Companies must apply to be included and self-report their revenue figures. To be included, companies must have had revenue of at least $100,000 in 2015 and $2 million in 2018.
Here are the other Colorado companies that made an appearance in the list’s first 500 spots:
