156 Colorado companies make Inc. 5000 list

A Denver company that sells organic hemp oil extracts is the Colorado company ranked highest on Inc. magazine’s 2019 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

NuLeaf Naturals, founded in 2014 and based at 1550 Larimer St., makes CBD oil for animals as well as humans. It reported 2018 revenue of $13.9 million, up 11,949 percent from three years ago — enough to nab the No. 11 spot on the Inc. 5000 list.

In total, 156 Colorado-based companies made the list, which was released Wednesday. That’s 20 more than appeared on the list last year.

Ranking on the Inc. 5000 is determined by percent of revenue growth over a three-year period. Companies must apply to be included and self-report their revenue figures. To be included, companies must have had revenue of at least $100,000 in 2015 and $2 million in 2018.

Here are the other Colorado companies that made an appearance in the list’s first 500 spots:

+ H&C Animal Health (#37), based in Parker, reported 6,287 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company sells pet health care products for the veterinary and retail markets, and reported $24 million in revenue last year. CEO: Chuck Latham

+ Pax8 (#60), based in Greenwood Village, reported 4,820 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company specializes in cloud-based distribution services and reported $42.4 million in revenue last year. CEO: John Street

+ Velocity Global (#185), based in Denver, reported 2,112 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company specializes in global recruiting, immigration, payroll and consulting to help companies expand operations overseas, and reported $85.8 million in revenue last year. CEO: Ben Wright 

+ IES (#246), based in LaSalle, reported 1,727 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company makes oil and gas environmental control and remediation devices that remove harmful gasses, and reported $13.4 million in revenue last year. Leadership: Mark Moser and Casey Beeler

+ Bridgewater Homes (#251), based in Loveland, reported 1,700 percent revenue growth since 2015. The construction firm builds single-family homes and reported $46.2 million in revenue last year. CEO: Bill Robinson

+ ThrivePass (#261), based in Denver, reported 1,654 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company helps employers manage employee benefits and reported $4.2 million in revenue last year. CEO: Andreas Deptolla 

+ Colton Cooper (#316), based in Denver, reported 1,449 percent revenue growth since 2015. The logistics company specializes in heavy final-mile trucking across the Rocky Mountain region and reported $9.9 million in revenue last year. CEO: John Digby

+ Realvolve (#394), based in Greenwood Village, reported 1,164 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company offers customer relationship management software for real estate agents and reported $2 million in revenue last year. CEO: Dave Crumby

+ SkyRun Breckenridge (#430), based in Breckenridge, reported 1,047 percent revenue growth since 2015. The property management company reported $4.3 million in revenue last year. CEO: Michael McGoff

+ QuickBox Fulfillment (#470), based in Denver, reported 957 percent revenue growth since 2015. The supply chain management company provides fulfillment services for high-volume internet direct-to-consumer brands and reported $40 million in revenue last year. CEO: Stephen Adele

+ Bonusly (#482), based in Boulder, reported 912 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company offers an employee rewards platform and reported $2.5 million in revenue last year. CEO: Raphael Crawford-Marks

+ Simple Energy (#490), based in Boulder, reported 897 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company provides utility-branded marketplaces and customer engagement software for the utilities industry, and reported $45.4 million in revenue last year. CEO: Yoav Lurie

+ FloWater (#493), based in Denver, reported 894 percent revenue growth since 2015. The company makes water bottle refill stations that also purify the water and reported $5.3 million in revenue last year. CEO: Rich Razgaitis
