Cherry Creek has the tea.
A tea shop with locations in downtown Boulder and Fort Collins has brewed up a third location at 2445 E. 3rd Ave. in Cherry Creek. Ku Cha House of Tea held its soft opening Thursday.
Ku Cha, which means “bitter tea” in Chinese, offers more than 170 kinds of loose-leaf tea. Business owner Qin Liu said the shop offers traditional Chinese varieties, as well as tea sourced from Japan, India, South Africa and Central America. It also sells accessories such as teapots and mugs.
The store offers a $15-per-year membership, which offers 10 percent off purchases.
Liu founded Ku Cha with Rong Pam in 2005, with a shop in Boulder at 1211 Pearl St. They opened its second location in Fort Collins a decade later in August 2015. Liu said the business also is looking to expand into franchising.
In Cherry Creek, the business has taken over space that formerly housed men’s clothing store St. Croix Shop. Other tenants in the building include athleticwear brand Kait Sweat, apparel shop A Line Boutique, Sinless Sun Spray Tanning, home goods store Joi and cardio dance studio AKT.
Other businesses coming soon to Cherry Creek North include Cherish Spirits Lounge, cooler brand Yeti, Hydrate IV Bar and StretchLab.
Ku Cha House of Tea is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
