Chase is moving into RiNo and also expanding in Cherry Creek.

Chase Bank plans to open a branch on the ground floor of The Hub, the eight-story office building nearing completion at 3601 Walnut St., company spokeswoman Maura Cordova confirmed last week.

She said construction in the bank’s unit was slated to begin within 10 days.

Kyle Framson with Zall Commercial Real Estate, who represented the landlord, said Chase is taking 2,746 square feet. Courtney Key and Brian Shorter with Sullivan Hayes represented Chase in the deal.

While the former warehouse district has plenty of taprooms and hip small retailers, banks have been slower to move in. Collegiate Peaks Bank operates the only branch in RiNo, at 3655 Brighton Blvd.

Chase joins spinning studio Cycle, which also has leased retail space at The Hub, which has about 25,000 square feet of retail space in all. WeWork and HomeAdvisor are taking the bulk of the office space above.

Chase also plans to open a branch at the southeast corner of Milwaukee Street and 3rd Avenue in Cherry Creek.

It will be Chase’s second branch in Cherry Creek; the company already operates at 100 Detroit St., about four blocks away.

Chase also is looking to convert a former Arby’s along East Colfax Avenue into a branch as well, as BusinessDen reported last summer. The company has yet to close on that property.
