One of Washington Park’s most expensive home sales closed last week.
The three-story modern home at 600 S. Franklin St. sold for $3.66 million on Aug. 6, according to county records. That tops a home a few blocks away that sold for $3.3 million in 2016.
Georges Saad, owner of Forte Distinctive homes, scraped the previous 1920s duplex to make room for the new contemporary build that features a third-story patio overlooking the Washington Park lake and boathouse.
“It’s a very high-end, super modern house,” Saad said. “The location is one of the very unique corner lots.”

Kate-
I don’t think that is a true sell but a loan conversion instead. Very misleading. Look at Seller’s name : 600 S. Franklin St., LLC
Buyer’s name: 600 SFS, LLC
I’m guessing the same owner, but different LLC names.
It was definitely a sale. The manager of the selling LLC is Georges Saad, who scraped the old property and built this new house. The person behind the buying LLC was not disclosed.
