Restaurant tech company Upserve is eating up a slice of downtown real estate.
The Providence, Rhode Island-based firm leased 6,400 square feet on the 21st floor of Denver Place at 999 18th St. Jon Tilton with Newmark Knight Frank represented Upserve in its search.
Formerly called Swipely, the company was founded in 2009 and makes software for restaurant owners to process food orders and track sales, inventory, staff and sales. Upserve has raised $40.5 million in venture funding, according to Crunchbase.
The company did not respond to calls seeking comment. It has other offices in New York City and San Francisco.
Other restaurant tech firms have developed an appetite for the Mile High City. In October San Francisco-based OpenTable leased 16,000 square feet at the Wells Fargo Center at 1700 Lincoln St.
