Juice company leaves RiNo for larger S. Broadway home

Pressed Juice Daily CianciolaA juice company is squeezing out of a tight spot in RiNo and heading for more room on South Broadway.

Pressed Juice Daily is leaving its kitchen and shop at 1219 E. 36th Ave. and gaining 50 percent more space by moving into an old Subway store at 2120 S. Broadway, where it has a five-year lease. It hopes to open by early March.

Co-owner Adam Cianciola said when the company renewed its RiNo lease, the landlord told Pressed Juice it planned to redevelop the building. So Cianciola and partner Christian Davis started looking for a new location.

Cianciola estimated the RiNo location is around 800 square feet and said, “We’ve been at capacity for a couple years now.” Pressed Juice makes all its products there and had little room for the walk-up customer counter.

Now, juice production will move to the new1,200-square-foot location. Cianciola aims to open in early March.

“This will be our first store that will actually be visible from the street,” he said.

The company spent 4 1/2 years in the neighborhood. In 2015, Cianciola told BusinessDen the company was making 50 gallons of juice a day. Today, it’s double that amount, he said.

Pressed Juice makes 18 different juices – various blends of vegetables and/or fruits– for $9 a container.

The business also offers Smart Shots for $5, each with two ounces of juice blends aimed to help boost immunity, calmness, weight loss and more.

“That part of the business is growing really fast. It’s almost a second business within the business,” Cianciola said. “The juice continues to grow, but the Smart Shots are really popular.”
