A dog daycare business in RiNo claims constant construction has made it too hard to operate.
After 16 years at 3500 Chestnut Place, Mile High Mutts said it will close Feb. 23. It wrote on its website that changes in the neighborhood and construction led to the decision.
TV station Fox 31 reported the business was not going to refund dog owners. But a sign on the door from owner Marcus Newell offers information on nearby daycares taking credits from Mile High Mutts.
“The previous notice regarding packages was my attempt to encourage people to bring in their dogs in these last days so we can actually do the work you paid us to do,” the sign says.
Newell said running Mile High Mutts for the last 16 years has been an amazing experience, but declined to comment further on the closure.
