The Denver brokerage responsible for selling a $100 million Colorado ranch last year has new digs of its own.

Ken Mirr moved his Mirr Ranch Group from coworking at 915 S. Pearl St. to a 2,300-square-foot outpost at 901 Acoma St. in the Golden Triangle.

The business last year sold the Cielo Vista Ranch for $105 million. That 83,000-acre property included and a 14er.

“We’ve moved from an area where we were in a shared-use environment,” Mirr said. “We just wanted something that was more of our own … we liked the historic quality of the building.”

He said ranch brokers – he has 13 agents – must navigate through water rights, cattle grazing and wildlife and conservation issues.

Mirr grew up in Indiana and holds a law degree from the University of Denver. Before launching Mirr Ranch Group in 2005, he helped represent ranchers, ski areas and mining companies as a public lands attorney.

“I enjoyed the relationship I had with ranchers,” Mirr said. “I decided to focus more on brokering.”

The company started by listing $1 million to $2 million ranches, but more than a decade later, it’s listing $100 million properties, including the 220,000-acre Cross Mountain Ranch in northwest Colorado.

“It’s not like there is a huge supply of those types of properties,” Mirr said. “Sometimes it’s a question of time and (when) they become available.”

The firm also recently sold a $23 million, 50,000-acre ranch near Trinidad to nature conservancy JE Canyon.

“We like keeping working ranches working,” Mirr said.
