Law firm Spencer Fane is doubling its space in Denver’s Wells Fargo Center.
Managing partner Ron Fano said the Kansas City-based firm recently signed a 10-year lease for the 19th floor of the building at 1700 Lincoln St. The firm has occupied the 20th floor since 2014.
In connection with the expansion, Spencer Fane will vacate its office on the 48th floor of Republic Plaza at 370 17th St.
“Our hope is to have that done by the end of the summer, if not sooner,” Fano said.
The Republic Plaza office previously belonged to Berenbaum Weinshienk, which Spencer Fane acquired in late 2016. The acquisition doubled its presence in Denver to about 50 attorneys.
Fano said Spencer Fane knew at the time of the acquisition that it wanted to “fully integrate and consolidate” the two offices, and that staying in the Wells Fargo Center was the firm’s top choice.
