Many tech companies use Slack for managing workflow, including Airbnb, Pinterest and Pandora.
Customers can use Slack for free, or pay $6.67 per month per active user or $12.50 per month per active user, depending on added features.
Founded in 2009 in San Francisco, the startup has raised $790 million in funding, according to Crunchbase. It has 9 million weekly users, according to its website.
In addition to San Francisco, Slack has offices in New York, Vancouver, London, Toronto, Dublin, Melbourne and Tokyo.
It joins a growing list of San Francisco tech firms looking around downtown for office space. This week, cycling and running app Strava checked into space at Galvanize on Platte Street.
