Gliding away for warmer ice, an NHL player is selling his Greenwood Village mansion.
Francois Beauchemin, a 37-year-old defenseman from Quebec, played two seasons for the Colorado Avalanche before being traded to the Anaheim Ducks for the 2017-18 season. He’s listed his French country estate for a half million more than he paid for it two years ago.
Beauchemin is not the only professional athlete unloading real estate. Former Nuggets player Nene recently sold his Cherry Hills home for $2.78 million.
Price: $3.48 million. The property was listed Nov. 11.
Address: 1375 E. Greenwood Lane
Stats: 8,242 square feet with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms on 1 acre.
Seller: Francois Beauchemin purchased the home in 2015 from Michael and Jane McDonald for $2.95 million.
Listing broker: Pamela Rios with RE/MAX Cherry Creek
The finer things: A second-floor library overlooking the living room, backyard pool and outdoor fireplace.
