WeWork won’t be working out of Denver’s newest office tower after all.
After signing a letter of intent on office space for its third Denver location in the under-construction tower at 1144 15th St., the coworking giant’s deal fell through, according to multiple sources.
WeWork, which is valued at more than $20 billion, entered the Denver coworking market in 2015 with 72,000 square feet of shared office space at the Triangle Building downtown.
The New York-based firm then opened a second location on Platte Street with 50,000 square feet. Those locations are 90 to 95 percent occupied, according to an onsite WeWork staffer.
Brokerage firm JLL, which leases 1144 15th St., declined to comment. The office tower is scheduled to be completed in January.
