Celebrating 36 years of hops and suds, Great American Beer Fest has returned to Denver.
The beer festival, which first started in Boulder in 1982, launched on Thursday night, with more than 150 of Colorado’s brewers participating. More than 800 brewers from across the nation came to pour samples in the Mile High City.
Ticket holders had access to brewery tours and unique food pairings, such as Denver Beer Co. selections with Little Man Ice Cream flavors.
The festival will be held at the Convention Center downtown through Saturday night. On Saturday morning the GABF will hold an award ceremony in the Mile High Ballroom. There are 32 entries from Colorado craft brewers in the 12th annual Pro-Am competition.
