A small trinket shop on South Broadway is shutting down after more than five years.
Owner Alison Two Eagles will be closing Ironwood to the public on Dec. 31. It will remain open through January in order to unload remaining merchandise to other retailers. Ironwood sells vintage items, gems and minerals, plants and other curiosities.
Asked why she is closing, given the shop’s popularity on Yelp and prime location, Two Eagles said she is taking classes to become a mediator.
There won’t be a sale preceding the closing, as Ironwood makes most of its sales during the holidays, Two Eagles said.
She said apothecary R.L. Linden is taking over the space.
