The road that shoots traffic from 38th and Downing into LoDo will soon run both directions.
Denver Public Works started converting Blake Street from a one-way thoroughfare to downtown into a two-way road between Broadway and 35th Street this week.
The two-way traffic signs have already been posted on the numbered cross streets, and the left lane was closed Tuesday as crews redrew a yellow center line and added bike lanes.
A sign onsite said work is scheduled to continue through the end of the week. The change will leave Walnut Street, Blake’s northeasterly running counterpart, as the lone one-way street south of the railroad tracks in RiNo.
