The first tenants are moving into a new Ruby Hill apartment building
The Burgwyn Co. showed off its 114-unit Ruby Hill Residences complex at Mississippi Avenue and Pecos Street at a ribbon cutting Monday for the new, affordable-housing community.
Ruby Hill Residences features one- and two-bedroom apartments set aside for renters making no more than 60 percent of the area median income. About one-fourth of the units are reserved for homeless veterans.
The $20 million project welcomed its first tenants on April 28, Burgwyn Co. owner Henry Burgwyn said, adding that about 55 people have moved in and all of the apartments have been leased.
