The taps started flowing at a new Arapahoe County brewery Tuesday.
Halfpenny Brewing Co. had a full brew house at a grand opening Wednesday in Centennial. The taproom and brewery is owned by longtime friends Chris Reigrut and Chris Garner, who have been building out the 5,000-square-foot strip mall space since last summer.
Halfpenny sits at 5150 E. Arapahoe Road in Centennial. It’s a former Fox & Hound restaurant space that Reigrut and Garner leased back in March. The pair estimated it cost about $500,000 to launch their 10-barrel operation.
The brewery opened with at least six taps pouring, including an Irish red, German farmhouse lager, clementine American wheat and a smoked porter.
