Denver’s second-tallest building is getting a new topper.
CenturyLink signs at the top of 1801 California St. are coming down to make way for insurance and financial company Transamerica Corp. The first three letters of Transamerica’s sign had already been hung from the building’s west side Thursday afternoon.
Two of three CenturyLink signs will come down from the building, with one being replaced by Transamerica signage. The building is 54 floors and totals more than 1.3 million square feet of office space.
Transamerica leased 121,000 square feet in the building in February. In January, Molson Coors Brewing Co. announced it would relocate its headquarters and take up 54,000 square feet in the office tower.
