There’s a new head man at a major Denver real estate firm.
Douglas Wells has been named CEO of Broe Real Estate Group. He takes over for Bob Jacobs, who retired about a year ago, company spokesman Ronald Margulis said.
Wells comes to Broe Real Estate Group from Shelter Canadian Properties Limited, where he was the firm’s chief investment officer.
Before that, he spent 15 years at Lazard Real Estate Partners, where he was most recently a managing principal. Wells also previously worked at The Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York/ARES Realty Capital.
“Doug has a critical mix of financial expertise and operating experience,” Broe Group chief operating officer Claude Pumilia said in a press release. “Given his exceptional performance in his previous executive roles, we expect Broe Real Estate Group to experience significant growth under his leadership.”
Wells did not respond to a phone message seeking comment on the new job by Monday evening.
