Colfax is getting a new cure for the munchies.
Cheba Hut, a Denver-based marijuana-themed sandwich shop, is moving in on a former Colfax Avenue convenience store. The company recently added a company “coming soon” banner at the Colfax Market building at 638 E. Colfax Ave. and demolition is well underway inside the shop.
The location, Denver’s second, is slated to open in March, a company spokesperson said in an email exchange. Cheba Hut also has store on Champa Street near the 16th Street Mall as well as in Boulder and Fort Collins.
Cheba Hut launched its first store in Tempe, Arizona in 1998 and moved its corporate headquarters to Fort Collins last year. The sub shops ganja-geared menu includes a Kush BLT, the Silver Haze hummus sub and the Sticky Icky PB&J.
